I never watched “America’s Got Talent” until this season. The reason I started watching this year was because performance painter David Garibaldi is appearing on the show. David has been to Flagstaff several times to perform at fundraisers for The Shadows Foundation, which we proudly support. The Shadows Foundation, provides “assistance to those affected by life threatening diseases by providing services and financial assistance when they need it most.” By the time David Garibaldi was 29 he had raised over 1 million dollars for various charities.
We had the pleasure of stretching this John Lennon painting of David’s for The Shadows Foundation. It was painted in Flagstaff and has been “hanging around” our walls for quite some time. I saw David perform recently at The Shadow’s Celebrity Golf Tournament Dinner. He created four paintings and they were then auctioned, still wet, right on the spot. You can’t believe how fast he makes them. It was amazing!
We will be watching tonight and hoping David Garibaldi wins the competition. The winner gets a million dollar cash prize and a headlining show in Las Vegas! Go David!
