This post is one of a series of 13, highlighting Flagstaff-focused non-profit organizations that The Framing Department is partnered with! By mentioning our “13 Years of Giving” program, $13 from each framing order our customers place are donated to these amazing organizations driving positive change in our community.

When was the organization established? How long has it been active in Flagstaff?

Flagstaff Arts Council was formed in 1999.

What does the organization do? What is your main goal/purpose?

The Flagstaff Arts Council has two main pillars of service to the community:

1. Making the Coconino Center for the Arts a vibrant hub of arts, culture and science as the community’s living room for the arts
2. Providing support, advocacy and promotion for the entire arts and sciences community in Flagstaff.

How do people get involved (can people volunteer, give donations, etc)?

Our patrons support our work to keep the arts alive in Flagstaff! Anyone can become a member of the Flagstaff Arts Council (donate online at flagartscouncil.org). Volunteers are always welcome to assist with concerts, exhibitions, committees, the Viola Awards and more. Contact Elizabeth Vogler at 779-2300 to inquire.

What is your organization seeking from the community? Cash donations? Participation in events? In-kind donations? This is your chance to tell the reader how they can help!

All of the above! We are grateful for the support of our community. You can help in many ways: by giving your time, by making a donation, or by attending events at the Coconino Center for the Arts. In-kind donations are always welcome, too.

Do you have any special events coming up?

Always! We have several concerts at the Center in April and May (Celtic Fiddle Festival, Greg Brown in Concert, Stories to Life and more), and many events in Heritage Square beginning in late May. We also have Funtown Circus Camp starting up this summer.

What is your favorite part about doing business in Flagstaff and serving our community?

The people. We know that everyone loves Flagstaff natural beauty – and we do, too. But it’s the people that make living and working in Flagstaff special.

Is there anything else you would like to add that we have not asked? Put that here!

We love Hidden Light! Such a fun team to work with!

How can people get in touch with you? (This is a good place for links to your website, facebook, *AZ-Gives page*, and any other relevant links!)
